My First Blog Post

Why do one

if you can

do both

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

Do not want to be better than anybody but better than you were yesterday.

— Oscar Wilde.

So let’s start by definition:

Calisthenics: is a combination of body weight exercises that you can do pretty much everywhere and anywhere you want without any restrictions and that what makes it easy in terms of not needing some equipments or external materials just your body weight.

but when it comes to

Bodybuilding : you need some materials and different kind of external equipment such as dumbbells and barbells for example In order to put pressure for your muscles so they can grow and it would help you with muscle isolation 🤔.

Basics of each type :

So in every aspect of life if you master those basics you would pretty much conquer the results I guess.

Calisthenics basics:

In order to start with calisthenics you have to focus on doing the basic exercises not neglecting them and rushing to perform exercises that not pretty much on your level of attendance can be called neglection as well.

So here are the basics:

Push-ups: undefined

As you can see on both images in order to perform push-ups you need to make sure you perform them in perfect form or you can do them on your knees so you can build up the mass to do the normal ones.

Dips:

dip is an upper-body strength exercise. Narrow shoulder-width dips primarily train the triceps. And it could be targeting a little bit of chest as well, however you can do a bench dip if a normal one is little bit hard for you to build some strength.

Pull-up:

In that exercise you need to pull yourself above the bar with the help of scapula movement and shoulder placement .

How can you combine both

Calisthenics + gym

=

CaliGymnic

let’s say that it’s a little bit harder to build biceps with only calisthenics so you gotta incorporate some exercises to make it easier to build your biceps.

for example:
chin ups:

The chin-up (also known as a chin or chinup) is a strength training exercise. People frequently do this exercise with the intention of strengthening muscles such as the latissimus dorsi and biceps, which extend the shoulder and flex the elbow, respectively. You have your palms facing towards your body.[1]

although chin ups might not be enough for you to engage more of your biceps you can add bicep curl to it as well.

Bicep-Curl:

The term “biceps curl” may refer to any of a number of weight training exercises that target the biceps brachii muscle.and it can be used by dumbbells and barbell as you can see on both gifs.

here are some analysis that show which exercises activates more biceps.

The benefits of doing both

the benefits of doing both

calisthenics : using the skills and the strength they applied to be able to lift the weights as i mentioned in the previous posts, and also having body control and mainly engaging your core when doing any exercise.

Weight training: when lifting weights and using external resistance it would be easier for you to create more power by using the advantage of it however that doesn’t mean that you’re gonna be able to lift crazy amounts of weights because to aquire that you must be lifting heavy and slightly progress your overload.

So let’s move on to bodybuilding

Bodybuilding is the use of progressive resistance exercise to control and develop one’s musculature for aesthetic purposes.

Why I mentioned calisthenics first:

So the reason is: I started by calisthenics at first because you need to start by getting the hang of it first so you can have the adaptation to add external resistance to your workouts.

Here are some bodybuilding exercises:

Bench press:

The bench press is an upper-body weight trainingexercise in which the trainee presses a weight upwards while lying on a weight training bench.

You can use barbell and dumbbell to perform that exercise and it has chest, triceps and interior deltoids engagement.

Lat-pull down :

The pulldown exercise is a strength training exercise designed to develop the latissimus dorsi muscle. With some upper back engagement as well.

Shoulder press:

The pressoverhead press or shoulder press is a weight training exercise with many variations.which can be performed standing or sitting and it help build shoulders and bigger arms.

Bicep curl:

The term “biceps curl” may refer to any of a number of weight trainingexercises that target the biceps brachii muscle. That exercise could be performed with barbell and dumbbell.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

Hi welcome to my blog! My name is abdennour and I like to do both body weight and weight lifting exercises.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
